Screen-printing – Plastisol

The most popular ink used in the garment printing industry is Plastisol ink. In our studio in Jersey we print a huge range of garments using screen-printing Jersey.  Screen printing plastisol ink is easy to print, does not dry in the screen, is opaque on dark garments, and features great adhesion to most t-shirt, athletic jerseys, hoodies, heat transfers, and most textiles in general.

Plastisol inks are easy to use because they don’t dry until exposed to heat in order to dry. Plastisol ink will not dry, or cure, at normal temperatures. For a proper cure, plastisols must reach a temperature of 300 – 330º F (143-166º C).

We use Plastisol for around 70% of our printing jobs in our studio in Jersey. It’s a great ink to print with. We offer a full Pantone matching service for all our plastisol inks so we can get that colour exact!
